AP Calculus AB 
AP Calculus AB course, students will learn the following important topics: limits, derivatives, indefinite integrals and definite integrals. The course will make sure students understand of the concepts of calculus, using methods and its applications for each equation. Students should know how to approach the problems by numerically, graphically, analytically and verbally.

Graphing Calculator Use
Students are expected to have a graphing calculator for class work, homework, many tests and AP exam. I strongly recommend students have his/her own calculator in the TI-83 or TI-84 with these built-in capabilities:
- Graph a function in an arbitrary viewing window
- Find the zeros of function (solve equations numerically)
- Numerically calculate the derivative of a function
- Numerically calculate the value of a definite integral
AP Calculus AB classes plan
AP Calculus AB Classes will begin in early September, after Labor Day. It will include 142 teaching days and at lease 10 days of formal assessment. The classes met five days a week. Students will have at least 3 weeks to summarize, review and reflect what you have learned to be well preparing for your AP Calculus AB Exam on Wednesday, May 9th. 2012.

- Multiple-Choice & Free-Response Questions in Preparation for the AP Calculus Examinations (AB), 8th Edition, 2003 by David Lederman.
- Fast Track to a 5: preparing for the AP calculus AB and Calculus BC Examinations, by Sharon Cade, Jeff Lucia, and Rhea Caldwell.
- AP Calculus Preparing for the Advanced Placement Examination, 2000 by Jmes F. Bohan, AMSCO. There are 5 complete model Exams, Review exercises and chapter assessments, use of graphing calculators and complete answer key with solutions.
